Distance

Distance

I wander around half in and out
My brain’s so lethargic these days
I sit in the park, pen, paper and thoughts
And picture your face on the page
Four thousand miles, an ocean away
Each hour on the plane feels like a day

I wonder where you are right now
You’re probably sleeping sound
Over the sea, I’m sending you sweet dreams
I’m useless when you’re not around
And it breaks my heart that you cry
Almost every night when we say goodbye
It’ll all be alright…
